Why chose Marisol’s?
people choose us for many reasons, but one of the major reasons is just how much we offer!

Liability
Liability coverage pays for property damage and/or injuries to another person caused by an accident in which you’re at fault. This coverage is required by most states to legally drive your vehicle. Liability coverage is broken down into 2 parts: property damage and bodily injury. The minimum required is 15,000/30,000/5,000, which basically means your insurance policy will pay out per person up to 15,000 to pay their medical bills, but no more than 30,000 per accident, and up to 5,000 to pay for property damage to other vehicle. You can always buy higher limits. Call and ask what is the best coverage to meet your needs.
Physical Damage
Typically, it only includes your collision insurance and comprehensive insurance policies. This means physical damage insurance pays for damages to your car regardless of who is at fault in an accident, and also by vandalism or natural incident such as a tree falling on it. It also pays if someone breaks into your car, it’ll help pay for the repairs.
Full Package
Full coverage auto insurance refers to a combination of insurance coverages that protect a driver financially for damages to their vehicle, the occupants of their vehicle, and other vehicles and passengers in an accident. No insurance policy can cover you and your vehicle in every possible circumstance, but full coverage protects you in most of them. Typically, people refer to “full coverage” when they have liability and comprehensive and collision coverage with either a 1000 or 500 deductible. Many people disregard Medical Payments, Uninsured Motorist Coverage, Rental and Towing on their policy. Call us and find out how to get the right coverage you need at a price that fits your budget.
Uninsured motorist coverage
An uninsured motorist is someone without auto insurance… Uninsured motorist coverage helps you pay for damages caused by a driver who doesn’t have car insurance. If you’re hurt or your car is damaged in a crash caused by such a driver, this coverage will help pay for costs, up to the limits in your policy. This coverage is usually less than 10 dollars per month and very important to have. Our agents specialize in finding you the best coverage at the price that fits your budget. Call us and speak to one of our experienced sales agents today.
Medical Payments
Our medical payments coverage helps pay medical costs resulting from an auto accident for you, your family and everyone in the car at the time of collision. Bodily injury liability insurance also helps pay for treatment after an accident, but only for people other than you or your passengers. Do not confuse Medical Payments with Health Insurance. This coverage only applies to medical costs relating to an auto accident and has a limit of either, 1,000, 5,000, or up to 10,000 per accident. Make sure to ask your agent what is available within your budget. You may be surprised at how affordable it is.
Non-Owner
Non-owner insurance is an insurance policy that will insure a person while driving some else’s car, as long as the vehicle is not registered at the same household of the insured. Non-owner insurance rates are often 5% to 15% cheaper than those of a standard policy. This type of policy is for drivers who drive other people’s cars but do not own a vehicle of their own. It is very limited and is only available for liability. If you own a car, or borrow the car of someone you live with, or use a company car, but only for business, then a non-owner policy is not for you. Call and speak with one of our expert agents to find out if you are good candidate for a non-owner policy.
SR-22
If you’ve had a DUI or an accident without insurance coverage, you may need an SR-22 insurance form. An SR22 is not an insurance policy. It actually a certificate of financial responsibility. Basically, with an SR22, insurance companies insure the DMV the you will maintain coverage and if you don’t the company will notify the DMV and your driver license will be suspended. Having to purchase an SR-22 certificate is never fun. Don’t get swindled by other agencies who claim SR-22 certificates should cost you an arm and a leg. Call our office and find out how easy it is to obtain one. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced we are compared to other companies who take advantage of drivers who already feel vulnerable due to their circumstances. Let us guide you and help get you back on the road as soon as possible. Call us today.

General Liability
Protects against lawsuits from customers and includes legal defense paid for by your insurance company up to the limit of the coverage purchased. Example: You own a hair salon. A customer comes in and slips due to water on the floor. Customer sues for back pain. Your policy pays the bill up to the limit of you policy if it is found that you are responsible.
Inventory Replacement
Protects your business goods and products, whether they be merchandise that gets stolen, food that goes bad due to a power outage, or products that get destroyed by a covered risk, up to the limit showing on your policy. Example: You own a restaurant. There is a power outage in your neighborhood that takes a week to get repaired. Thousands of dollars in food spoils in the fridge. Your policy pays for cost of the food up to the limit of your coverage.
Business Income Coverage
Replaces the income you lose due to having to shut down your business as a result of a covered risk. Example: Your business brings in 300 per day and your business has to be shut down for 30 days then you will be covered up to $9000 in business income.
Damage to Leased Premises
Protects the location space you lease against fire damage caused by you or your employee negligence. This coverage does not protect your equipment or inventory. In this case you would have to have Commercial Property coverage in place to replace your inventory or equipment. Example: You leave your workplace and forget to turn off a machine that heats up and the next morning you show up and find half the wall burned down. You are liable and your Damage to Leased Premises coverage will pay to repair the damage.
Workers Compensation
Is required by law if you have employees. This coverage protects you against steep fines and penalties from the state employment department if you have an employee that get hurt while working for you. It covers their medical expenses and paid time off to recover at home.
Commercial Auto Insurance
If your business owns vehicles, a commercial auto insurance policy can provide valuable financial protection to you and your employees while driving a company owned vehicle or a hired or personally-owned auto in your business operations. It’s important to know that a personal automobile insurance policy usually does not cover vehicles used in the operation of your business.
Liability Coverage
Pays injury damages to others and damage to other people’s property if you are at fault, including your legal expenses if you’re sued. If you or a driver of your business vehicle causes an accident that injures another person or damages their property, they can file a claim on your policy and bring a lawsuit against you or the driver. Your liability insurance will cover costs to pay damages on the claim up to the policy limit. On commercial auto policies, although liability limits can be as low as 15000/30000/5000, the typical commercial auto policy ranges up to hundreds of thousands of dollars and even into the millions to protect what you have worked so hard to build.
Collision Coverage
Generally referred to as “full-coverage”
Collisions coverage pays for accident-related damage to your insured business vehicle minus deductible, regardless of fault. If they do have insurance then their liability insurance will pay for damages to your vehicle and medical bills for you and your passengers. There is a chance that an uninsured driver causes damage to your business vehicle, and/or personal injury to you or your employees. In this case you must have UNINSURED MOTORIST COVERAGE to protect yourself from having an unpaid claim. Ask our agents for this coverage on your policy.
Comprehensive Coverage
Pays for damage to your insured business vehicle from non-collision causes such as theft, weather, vandalism or fire, minus your deductible. This is part of what is considered “full-coverage”, and usually goes together with Collision Coverage on personal auto policies, although not always on commercial auto policies. Make sure to ask for these details when purchasing a commercial auto policy for your business vehicles.
Uninsured Motorist Coverage
Pays for injury or property damage suffered by you, your employee drivers, or any passenger of your insured business vehicle if the accident is caused by an an uninsured driver.
Underinsured Motorist Coverage
Although drivers may be insured, many times they have very low coverage. In the event that an underinsured driver causes damage to your business vehicle or personal injury to you, your employees or any passengers, UNDERINSURED coverage will cover the gap between what is paid out by the other persons insurance policy and the actual cost of the medical or repair bills incurred in the accident.
Medical Payments Coverage
Covers medical expenses to treat injuries to you or your passengers from an accident involving your business vehicle, up to your policy limits. It doesn’t matter whether the accident was your fault or not. Should never be confused with health insurance. Medical payments only applies to medical bills incurred as a result of an auto accident.
Rental Reimbursement
Pays for a rental vehicle, up to certain limits, after an accident causes damage to your insured business vehicle. This is very important coverage, especially since your business operations can be severely affected as a result of a total loss or a lengthy repair process, which can impact your profit margins.

Home Owner’s Insurance
Liability Coverage
Pays if you injure someone or cause property damage unintentionally or through neglect. Example: You have a birthday party and someone’s child breaks their arm while jumping in the party jumper. You are liable. Home insurance liability covers the suit.
Other example: Your home catches on fire and sets your neighbors house on fire as well. You are liable for the damages to your neighbors home. Your home insurance liability will pay up to the limits on your policy. The Dwelling coverage will pay to repair or rebuild your home.
Dwelling Coverage
Generally referred to as “full-coverage”
Collisions coverage pays for accident-related damage to your insured business vehicle minus deductible, regardless of fault. If they do have insurance then their liability insurance will pay for damages to your vehicle and medical bills for you and your passengers. There is a chance that an uninsured driver causes damage to your business vehicle, and/or personal injury to you or your employees. In this case you must have UNINSURED MOTORIST COVERAGE to protect yourself from having an unpaid claim. Ask our agents for this coverage on your policy.
Personal Property
Pays to repair or replace belongings that are stolen or damaged in a covered event, and is usually up to 50% to 70% of amount of coverage purchased to protect the structure. Example: Your dwelling coverage (to rebuild your home) is $400,00, ideally your content coverage to replace your furniture and other personal belongings should be between $200,000 or $280,000.
Additional Living Expense
Helps pay temporary living expenses while your home is being repaired.
If you have tons of family and they don’t mind you staying for a lengthy period of time with them while your home is being repaired then you don’t need this coverage. If you prefer to stay in a fully furnished home that is similar in size to your home, and have your insurance company cover all the expenses including the rent to stay there while your home is being repaired, then make sure to have this coverage. You will appreciate it more than you know.
Medical Payments
Pays to treat someone injured on your property, regardless of who’s at fault. Also pays if you, a family member or a pet injures someone elsewhere. In other words, if you get into a fight and get sued by the other person. Also, if you are out walking your dog and it bites another person or someone else’s pet.
Actual Cash Value (ACV) Coverage
ACV coverage pays the cost to repair or replace your damaged property, minus a deduction for depreciation. So basically, if your house is old, and the wood it cost to build it in the 1950’s cost half of what is cost today, then get ready for half the cost to be covered. In other words, this means you’ll probably get only a fraction of what it would cost to rebuild your house and only enough to buy used furniture and clothing or any other damaged property. If you policy has high coverage, but is really low priced, most likely you have the ACV clause in the fine print. Ask you agent about this before it is too late.
Replacement Cost Coverage
Coverage pays to repair your home with materials of “like kind and quality,” so regardless of how old your home or your furniture is, the rebuilding and your personal property will be replaced “apples for apples” and you will not have to go through the hassle of having to go to the thrift store to replace your stuff, or having a partial rebuilding of your property. Keep in mind though, the payout won’t exceed your policy’s dwelling coverage limits, so it’s important to be properly covered.
Ordinance of Law Coverage
Pays to bring your home up to current building codes during repairs or rebuilding. Example: Your home was built in 1930. City ordinance has changed and an upgrade to the foundation is required. This coverage pays for the incurred expense to upgrade the building to meet new city codes.
Water backup Coverage
Pays for damage due to backed-up sewer lines, drains or sump pumps. This is not covered under your home insurance unless it is specified by the purchase of this coverage. Example: toilet overflows and drains into your living room and damages all of your carpet. Unless you have this coverage you will not be covered for the damages.
Landlord Insurance
Liability Coverage
Landlord insurance typically only provides liability coverage relating to the rented premises. If a tenant is hurt in the home you’re renting out and you are found legally responsible, the liability coverage on your landlord policy may help pay for the resulting medical expenses or legal fees. Unlike the home owner policy (requires that you live in your home) the liability portion of a Landlord’s policy does not cover you and relatives who live with you in the home, whether the accident happens in your home or not. It’s very important to make sure that you purchase the correct type of policy for your property in order to avoid having a claim be denied. Feel free to contact us to find out if you have the right coverage or to purchase the coverage you need.
Personal Property Coverage
While homeowners insurance may help cover many kinds of belongings, such as furniture, clothing and computers, landlord insurance typically only provides coverage for items used to service the rented property. So, if you leave personal items behind that are not used to service the rental property, you’ll likely find that landlord insurance won’t provide protection. It may, however, help cover items such as a snowblower or lawn mower that you store on site to help maintain the property.
Fair Rental Income Coverage
Suppose your tenants are unable to live in your property if it’s damaged by fire or smoke, for instance. In situations like this, fair rental income protection may help replace the rent checks you would have received. This coverage is usually available for up to 12 months, if needed. It’s important to know that rental income protection generally will not help if your tenant breaks a lease or your property is unoccupied between tenants.

Lessor's Risk Only
Lessor is a a person who leases. This term applies to landlord’s of commercial tenants, and this type of coverage protects Landlords from lawsuits from tenants resulting from damage or injury sustained in your building. If I rent out an industrial building and the boiler explodes. My Lessor’s Risk Only coverage will protect me and pay out up to the policy limits, any damage sustained to property or person’s as a result of that accident.
When should I buy Commercial Property?
If you own or rent a building, store or office.
If you own or rent expensive equipment for tools.
If you have products or inventory.

Almost 40% of boats on the water are uninsured. This increases your risk of loss. You should insure your boat for the amount it would cost you to replace it with like kind and quality. This is called “Agreed Value” or “Stated Value” coverage, and in the event of a total loss, will pay the full insured amount.
